AGRICULTURE SECRETARY VILSACK NAMES JANEY THORNTON AS DEPUTY UNDER SECRETARY FOR FOOD, NUTRITION AND CONSUMER SERVICES
WASHINGTON, April 10, 2009—Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack today announced the appointment of Janey Thornton as Deputy Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services (FNCS).
The Labor Day holiday brings the unofficial end to summer and time for alumni of the College of Agriculture and School of Human Environmental Sciences to finalize their plans to attend the annual Roundup festivities. The theme for Roundup 2007 is A Family Tradition,
A total of 251 undergraduate students completed degrees in the School of Human Environmental Sciences during the 2013-14 academic year. The breakdown by major is:
Retention and graduation rates are an important measure of student success. In the fall of 2006, 63 first-year full-time students entered our programs. Of these, 65% remained enrolled within the same department entering their second fall semester. By the fourth year, 33% remained enrolled in the same department.
In efforts to continue to provide affordable counseling services to families, couples and individuals of Lexington, the University of Kentucky Family Center is now offering a divorce support group for children, as well as free parenting consultations.
