RTM Students Attend National Retail Federation’s BIG Show

Eight students from the Department of Retailing and Tourism Management (RTM) recently attended the National Retail Federation's (NRF) BIG Show in January, along with Dr. Scarlett Wesley, Associate Professor. The show was held January 15-17 in New York City and provided nearly 500 students from across the country a unique opportunity for career exploration. With attendance at the BIG Show, students don’t have to wait until graduation to learn about retail’s diverse career paths, build relationships or make connections in the industry.   


Student Organization Profile: Retailing and Tourism Management Club

The Retailing and Tourism Management (RTM) Club is a student organization with active engagement for networking, site visits, study tours and social interaction for its members. The club is a merged group formed from the previous Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles (MAT) Club and the Hospitality Management Association (HMA). It offers excellent opportunities for members to advance their professional career by networking with peers, alumni and business leaders in the Lexington community and surrounding areas.


UK denim drive underway

Members of the University of Kentucky Retailing and Tourism Management Club are collecting used denim for their annual drive that benefits families in need of housing.
