FREE Military Parent-Teen Camps in 2015-2016!

Ready for the experience of a LIFETIME? The University of Kentucky Family and Consumer Sciences Extension is once again offering FREE camps for military parents and their teenage children ages 14-18 to attend together! These high-octane, high-adventure experiences will provide a variety of exciting challenges for military parents and their teenage children. Parents/teens will work as a team and with other military families as they experience adrenaline-pumping challenges during the day and gatherings with good food, other families and campfire programs at night. These camps offer opportunities for parents and teens to reconnect with each other and build teamwork skills together while they participate in an adventure they will remember for the rest of their lives! We are collaborating with Life Adventure Center of the Bluegrass for these camps. Go to http://www.lifeadventurecenter.org/military.html for information about the 12 camps we are offering in 2015-2016 and for online registration.

FamilyKentucky’s camps are open to military parents (or spouse if military parent cannot attend) and their teenage children ages 14-18 from any state and from any branch of the military. First priority will go to military parents/children who have experienced at least one deployment and who are geographically dispersed. Specific questions regarding eligibility should be made to Kelly Ulm - (859) 873-3271 or kelly@lifeadventurecenter.org.

Everything at the camps, including all meals, is FREE. Once applicants are notified of acceptance, Life Adventure Center must receive the downloadable forms and a $30 non-refundable confirmation fee for EACH participant before they will be confirmed. This fee will hold your registration spots at the camp and will be used to have t-shirts and photos made for each participant at the camps.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! To register, go to http://www.lifeadventurecenter.org/military.html.
