Professional Profile
Michele West was appointed the Marketing and Media Specialist for the Nutrition Education Program at the University of Kentucky in September 2021. Michele manages marketing, media, and the publication process for NEP materials. She also serves as administer of NEP’s online resources including PlanEatMove.com and kyfarmtoschool.com. Between 2016 and 2021, she was the Program Coordinator for a USDA funded social marketing research study aimed at improving the dietary quality of SNAP-eligible Kentuckians through Mobile Technologies.
Prior to joining NEP, Michele was the Director of Professional Development for an international non-profit education association serving higher-ed technology professionals. She has over 20 years’ experience in association management with an emphasis in education, distance learning, member engagement, and marketing.
Michele has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Kentucky.
