Professional Profile

I began my career as the Family & Consumer Sciences Extension Agent in Pike Co, KY (1996-2005, 2011-2022). My work focused on leadership, budget management, and supervision. My areas of programming focused on textiles, foods & nutrition, leadership development, and family resource management.
As an Extension Specialist I work primarily on substance use disorder programming including Botvin and PROFIT (Promoting Recovery Online through Financial Instruction and addiction Training). I also serve the Nutrition Education Program (NEP) with programming and evaluation. I am the KEHA International Advisor and work with leaders to develop statewide programming. I believe deeply in professional development and am a member of both KEAFCS and ESP. I served as KEAFCS President in 2022 and serve on several NEAFCS national committees.
