On January 10th, faculty and staff from the School of Human Environmental Sciences gathered to celebrate accomplishments from 2013 and prepare for 2014. Individuals who received extramural funding in 2013 were recognized, along with the personnel who work to implement the funded projects. The 2013 list included 15 projects totaling more than $4.4 million. The School also recognized those with scholarly work published through refereed journal articles, peer-reviewed books and book chapters, and Extension numbered-series publications. In 2013, 34 journal articles authored in part or in whole by HES faculty and staff were published. Faculty who mentored graduate students through the completion of their thesis or dissertation as chair of their committee were also honored.
“As we begin each spring semester, we celebrate the accomplishments from the previous year. Our faculty and staff are making great strides in securing funding and publishing their work. We congratulate all who demonstrated this productivity in 2013,” shared Ann Vail, Director of the School of Human Environmental Sciences.
