The beginning of a new school year comes with new faces and new opportunities. This fall, the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition welcomes three new faculty and staff to the department.

Amy WilliamsAmy Williams joined the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition as a lecturer. Amy attended the University of Kentucky for two years prior to completing her Bachelor of Science in General Dietetics as well as her Master of Science in Community Nutrition at Eastern Kentucky University. Prior to joining the faculty, Amy worked with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program in the Clark County Health Department. Amy will be teaching Principles of Food Preparation as well as Human Resources Management for the Food and Hospitality Industries. She looks forward to her interactions with students and gaining knowledge about the programs in the department. Amy plans to begin work on a doctoral degree next year.

Anissa RadfordAnissa Radford returns to the School of Human Environmental Sciences to serve as the Academic Coordinator for the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. Radford is an alumnus of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in educational policy studies. She previously worked in the School of Human Environmental Sciences as Director of First-Year Success from 2007-2011 before serving as an Assistant Dean in the College of Business and Economics. Anissa states, “I am thrilled to be here, it’s like coming home!”

Liz CombsLiz Combs recently transitioned to a new position as a lecturer in the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. She previously served as Academic Coordinator in the department and was academic advisor for freshman, sophomore and transfer students. Mrs. Combs is currently director of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. She will be teaching Nutrition and Wellness in the Lifecycle, as well as Medical Nutrition Therapy II. Mrs. Combs received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and her Master of Science in Dietetics Administration from UK. She looks forward to the semester and all it holds for her and her students.
