What is your typical day as an intern? As an intern, I help the merchandising assistant and the senior account executive with various things they need to complete. This includes, but isn’t limited to: updating file maker, printing out line sheets, making sketch boards for the design team, sewing beading/tags onto samples, and tracking samples that go in and out of the showroom.
What is one of the things you learned as a student that you use often as an intern? MAT 120- Intro to Textiles has been one of the most beneficial classes I’ve taken thus far as a student that helped me throughout my internship.
What is one piece of advice you would give to students preparing for their internship?
Apply early!! Go after your dreams and do whatever you can do to make them happen and be persistent!
