But what exactly is Family and Consumer Sciences? And what can it do for you?
At the University of Kentucky, family and consumer sciences programs are encompassed in the School of Human Environmental Sciences (HES). The School of HES offers six undergraduate degree programs, four master's degree programs, and a Ph.D. in Family Studies. The undergraduate programs include degrees in:
- Family Science;
- Career and Technical Education - Family and Consumer Sciences emphasis;
- Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles;
- Human Nutrition;
- Dietetics; and
- Food Science.
