Kentuckians are feeling the effects of rising gas prices and food costs. For many, the current economic situation has changed how we make purchasing decisions and travel plans. From eliminating or shortening vacations to adapting our food buying practices, economic decision-making is changing.
The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is responding to the current situation by offering consumers access to up-to-date information regarding financial decisions. A new website - MONEYWI$E - was recently launched to provide direct access to Extension resource materials.
Specialists and associates in Family and Consumer Sciences Extension have been actively involved in developing, updating and assimiliating the resources shared through the MONEYWI$E site. Contributors from FCS Extension include Ingrid Adams, Linda Adler, Kerri Ashurst, Suzanne Badenhop, Sandra Bastin, Joanne Bankston, Robert Flashman, Carole Gnatuk, Janet Kurzynske, Deborah Murray, Janet Tietyen, and Connee Wheeler.
