Two outstanding faculty members in the Department of Family Studies have earned promotion and tenure. Dr. Kay Bradford and Dr. Hynugsoo Kim have both been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. The new appointments signifty that both men have demonstrated high scholarly achievement.
Dr. Bradford joined the faculty in the Department of Family Studies in August, 2002. He is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Member of the Association of Marrriage and Family Therapy, and is an AAMFT approved supervisor. He holds a Ph.D. in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University and a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Hyungsoo Kim also joined the faculty in the Department of Family Studies in August, 2002. His research expertise lies in family economics, specifically economic behaviors of the elderly. Before joining the faculty at University of Kentucky, he held a postdoctoral research position at the University of Georgia. Dr. Kim holds both a Ph.D. and M.S. in Agriculture & Natural Resources Economics from Kyoto University in Japan.
