Each year, the University of Kentucky presents one faculty member and one staff member with outstanding service in the field of academic advising with the Ken Freedman Outstanding Advisor Award. Dr. Donna Smith, Associate Professor in the Department of Family Studies has been been selected as the 2007/08 faculty recipient.
Dr. Donna Smith joined the faculty in the Department of Family Studies in 1981. Her expertise in early childhood education and in family development has been recognized by local, state and national organizations which have invited her to speak. Dr. Smith has published extensively through her research focused on divorce and stepparenting.
Dr. Smith will receive her award during a luncheon February 5. The School of Human Environmental Sciences congratulates Donna for her commitment to students and receipt of this honor!
