The University of Kentucky Family Center began operations in the late 1980’s and has been an integral part of the graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Through the Family Center, student therapists in have the opportunity to see clients as part of their training.

The relocation also provided an opportunity to upgrade the equipment used to support clinical services and training. In the past, standard video and audio recording and one-way windows were used to supervise therapist-interns.  Now, through state-of-the art computer based digital systems, faculty can work with interns and serve the needs of clients much more effectively.
