The Phi Upsilon Omicron (Phi U), Iota Chapter is a student honor society open to students in all majors in the School of Human Environmental Sciences (HES). It seeks to develop the leadership qualities and the professionalism that are essential post-graduation. The organization accomplishes this by completing projects in the community that are related to issues addressed in disciplines in the School of HES.
Phi U offers a foundation for lifelong learning, leadership building, and ethical and scholastic excellence. Active members have the opportunity to apply for national scholarships and connect with members throughout the country at the biennial national Conclave. The Iota Chapter is part of the national honor society, which allows members to join a chapter almost anywhere they find themselves in life. Connections may be maintained after graduation through participation in the Iota Alumni Chapter. The national website is: www.phiu.org.
