Changing Health, Attitudes, + Actions to Recreate Girls (CHAARG) is a national women’s health and fitness organization that recently expanded to UK’s campus. The first CHAARG chapter was founded in 2012 and the organization has quickly grown to 29 established chapters across the nation. CHAARG’s vision is to change the common female mentality regarding fitness. The organization’s initial ideas began with showing females exactly how fun fitness can and should be.

UK CHAARG has a weekly Studio Spotlight event where the chapter meets and collectively takes a fitness class at various studios throughout Lexington. The organization has plans to attend classes at CycleYou, Bodyfit PUNCH, PureBarre, Sweat Lex and Orange Theory Fitness. UK CHAARG also has weekly small group workouts with 10-20 girls in attendance.

Any and all UK females are welcome to be members of UK CHAARG. Prospective members can join through CHAARG’s national website at www.chaarg.com or by contacting current chapter ambassador Katie Porter at ukchaarg@gmail.com. Membership dues are $45 and include all of the events offered throughout the semester. The current executive team members are as follows:
