The School of Human Environmental Sciences recently celebrated scholarly accomplishments from 2015 with special recognitions for faculty and staff. The number of externally-funded grant projects remained strong, with 15 projects totaling more than $6.8 million secured to support the research and outreach work of the School during the calendar year. The School also recognized those with scholarly work published through refereed journal articles, peer-reviewed books and book chapters, and Extension numbered-series publications. In 2015, 25 journal articles authored in part or in whole by HES faculty and staff were published, along with one text books, one book series and eleven book chapters. Faculty who mentored graduate students through the completion of their thesis or dissertation as chair of their committee were also honored.
“As we begin each spring semester, we celebrate the scholarly accomplishments of our faculty and staff. We have a talented, committed faculty and staff who continue to elevate the level of our work. We congratulate all who demonstrated such high productivity in 2015,” shared Ann Vail, Director of the School of Human Environmental Sciences.
