January 7th, faculty and staff from the School of Human Environmental Sciences gathered to celebrate accomplishments from 2012 and prepare for 2013. Individuals who received extramural funding in 2012 were recognized, along with the personnel who work to implement the funded projects. The 2012 list included 15 projects totaling more than $4.2 million. The School also recognized those with scholarly work published through refereed journal articles, peer-reviewed books and book chapters, and Extension numbered-series publications. In 2012, 27 journal articles authored in part or in whole by HES faculty and staff were published. Faculty who mentored graduate students through the completion of their thesis or dissertation as chair of their committee were also honored.
“We value the work of our faculty and staff and enjoy beginning the spring semester with a celebration of accomplishments. Congratulations to all who received external grants and published their work,” shared Ann Vail, Director of the School of Human Environmental Sciences.
