The School of Human and Environmental Sciences is excited to welcome two individuals to the Department of Family Sciences - Ryan Bentley and Pamela McFarland.

A Greenup County, Kentucky native, Ryan Bentley, was recently hired as an Administrative Support Associate for the Department of Family Sciences. Bentley graduated in 2010 from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Beyond his undergraduate degree, he is working on becoming certified in three areas: Finance, Human Resources, and Student Lifecycle Management at the University of Kentucky. Bentley is excited to be settling down in Lexington and hopes to continue his education here as he works to fulfill the requirements for the Kentucky CPA exam. With his administrative experience, we are excited to welcome him to the department.

UK Family Sciences alumnus Pam McFarland has been hired as the department’s first Academic Coordinator. McFarland earned her Bachelor of Arts in Family Studies from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Science in Academic Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. Prior to this position, McFarland worked in the HES Advising Resource Center. In her new role as Academic Coordinator, she is responsible for streamlining the undergraduate advising services for the department and will teach undergraduate courses.

Welcome to Ryan and Pam! We look forward to their contributions to the Department of Family Sciences.
