Professional Profile

Laura serves as the director of the Kentucky Nutrition Education Program. Her focus is on the administration and implementation of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-Ed). Both programs provide nutrition education interventions for low-income or limited resource audiences. Laura works to ensure the program meets federal, state, and university requirements.

Previously, Laura worked as an Extension Specialist for Farm Stress and Rural Mental Health, managing the USDA's Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) project in Kentucky. Her experience includes providing oversight and management of grant awards, program development, and organizational leadership. She is passionate about human services programming and enjoys working on community-based initiatives that promote health, safety, and well-being.
