Professional Profile

Kenny Hunter serves as a State Extension Specialist for Food Systems with the SNAP-Ed Program at the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Food and Environment. Kenny began his career with the University of Kentucky in 2008 as an Agronomy Specialist and Manager of the Kentucky Foundation Seed Project and the Kentucky Seed Improvement Association. Kenny’s background includes a large cross-section of production agriculture experience, including over 15 years as Seed Production Manager for F.W. Rickard Tobacco Seed.

Kenny joined the Nutrition Education Program in October 2016. His focus is to improve community food equity by developing and implementing resources, materials and programs to educate the public about strengthening community food systems.
