Earlier this month, Dr. Tammy Stephenson received an esteemed honor from the UK College of Nursing, the Teaching Excellence in Support of Professional Nursing Award. The award is presented annually to a faculty member from outside the College of Nursing who demonstrates excellence in the development and delivery of effective teaching and learning experiences for students in one of the College’s academic programs.
Dr. Stephenson is a senior lecturer and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science. She has been honored previously within the College of Agriculture with the Gamma Sigma Delta Master Teacher Award and the College of Agriculture Student Council Early Career Outstanding Teacher Award. At the university level, she has received the Faculty Research Mentor Award through the Society for the Promotion of Undergraduate Research. Nationally, she has earned the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture Teacher Fellow Award.
