Kim Henken, Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships, has been appointed to serve as Acting Director for the School of Human Environmental Sciences (HES). Henken has 22 years of experience with the UK Cooperative Extension Service and joined the HES administrative team in 2006. As the Acting Director, she will provide personnel and financial oversight for the HES administrative unit and coordinate school-wide activities and events. Henken will continue in her Extension roles with the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association and Master Farm Homemakers Guild.
Dr. Jennifer Hunter, Associate Extension Professor, has been appointed to serve as Interim Assistant Director of Family and Consumer Sciences Extension. Dr. Hunter has 17 years of experience in Extension and has been a member of the faculty in the Department of Family Sciences since 2010. As the Interim Assistant Director, Dr. Hunter will provide leadership for the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension program state-wide, serve as a member of the Kentucky Extension administrative team and provide financial and personnel oversight for the unit.
