Professional Biography
Assistant Professor, Mental Health & Well Being
Dr. Natese Dockery joined the School of Human Environmental Sciences in 2024 as a Clinical Assistant Professor for Mental Health and Well-Being. Prior to joining the School of Human Environmental Sciences, she worked as a mental health counselor, assisting clients with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges. Her research interests focus on the social determinants of mental health, health equity and social justice.
Dr. Dockery is a member of various professional organizations including the American Counseling Association, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science and Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society International. She has served in various counseling and mental health organizations at the local and national levels and was recognized as a 2024-25 Emerging Leader for the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
