Professional Biography
Dr. Natese Dockery joined the School of Human Environmental Sciences in 2024 as a Clinical Assistant Professor for Mental Health and Well-Being. Prior to joining the School, she worked as a mental health counselor, supporting individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Her research interests center on the societal and environmental factors that influence mental health outcomes and access to care.
Dr. Dockery currently serves as an Assistant Editor for Adultspan Journal, Chair of the Social Media Committee for the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), and an active member of several ACES committees. She is also an active member of professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association, the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society International. She has held leadership roles in counseling and mental health organizations at both local and national levels, including serving as a 2024–25 Emerging Leader for the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
