Professional Profile

Natalie Jones is a native Kentuckian and attended college at Transylvania University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Natalie continued her education at the University of Kentucky and received her Masters of Public Health in Health Behavior. After graduating Natalie went to Africa University in Zimbabwe to earn a graduate certificate in Global Health. Natalie has been involved in many team sports throughout her life, including collegiate cross country captain and soccer at Transylvania University. She currently enjoys half-marathons, triathlons, Crossfit-style workouts, and yoga.

As a health and fitness professional, Natalie Jones believes in lifestyle balance. Natalie takes pride in motivating others to achieve their health goals, in return allowing them to live more fully on every level of life. Natalie has experience working with a wide variety of populations through many different health domains; including strength and conditioning programing, corporate wellness, health and wellness coaching, and student health services. Natalie joined Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Extension in May 2016 as the Program Coordinator II for Physical Activity. With FCS Extension, she has worked with Get Moving Kentucky, The Mind-Body Connection, Truth and Consequences: The Choice is Yours!, and others. Her physical activity programing developments are based on evidence based research, as well as marketing to execute behavior change and cultural competency.
