Please describe your typical day as an intern:

A typical day in the boutique is merchandising, checking in inventory, tagging items, performing good customer service, waiting on customers and closing up the boutique.

How are you using and applying classroom knowledge in your internship?

I am applying classroom knowledge daily, especially when merchandising the products.

What is one key thing you have learned during your internship?

I have learned how to manage my work time - from getting to work on time to finishing little tasks in a timely fashion. This is helping me manage my time in the workplace and in life.

If you could share one piece of advice for other students who are preparing to complete an internship, what would it be?

I would tell them to take a risk for an internship, and do something that is out of your comfort zone. I am in another state with no one I know from home, and I have learned a lot. It has taught me to be independent and how to live and work on my own.
