The School of Human Environmental Sciences
The University of Kentucky School of Human Environmental Sciences (HES) focuses on the three-part land-grant mission of the University of Kentucky. Located in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the School of HES is home to three academic departments, five undergraduate degree programs, three master’s degree programs, a doctoral program and the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension unit. Dr. Ann Vail serves as Director of the School of Human Environmental Sciences and Assistant Director for Family and Consumer Sciences Extension. The faculty and staff within the School of HES are dedicated to the vision to be a leader in improving the quality of life for individuals and families in Kentucky, the region and the nation through rigorous academic programs, state-of-the-art research, community driven extension programs and engagement opportunities.
